Match the right remote to your BRAUN DigiFrame and set it up without guesswork, with a simple model check and step-by-step pairing.
Quick answer
Choose the remote listed for your exact frame model: the remote for BRAUN DigiFrame 1360 and 1361 8GB, or the separate remote for BRAUN DigiFrame 1901 8GB. They are model-specific, so start by checking the label on your frame, then follow the steps below to confirm and set it up.
Why the model number matters more than the brand
BRAUN DigiFrame models can look alike, but the listed remotes are tied to specific models. The remote for the 1360 and 1361 8GB is not listed for the 1901 8GB, and the 1901 8GB remote is not listed for the 1360 or 1361. Treat the model number as the deciding factor, not the screen size or the frame's exterior.
If your frame is a different DigiFrame model, these two remotes are not confirmed to work. In that case, check the product page for your exact model or contact the store before ordering, rather than assuming a universal fit.
What to do if your remote is lost or damaged
A replacement remote is the simplest fix when the original stops responding, but first rule out the frame itself: try the buttons on the frame and fresh batteries in the remote. If the frame responds to its own buttons but not the remote, a replacement is the likely answer.
Keep the old remote until the new one arrives so you can compare button layouts and confirm you have the right model. The catalog does not list pairing codes or a universal mode for these remotes, so do not expect one remote to cover multiple frame models.
How to identify and set up your DigiFrame remote
- Find your frame's model number: Check the label on the back or base of the frame and note the full model name, including the storage figure (for example, 1361 8GB or 1901 8GB). Common mistake: reading only the first number and ignoring the storage suffix. Write the model number down before you shop; it is the only reliable match.
- Match the model to the listed remote: If your frame is a 1360 or 1361 8GB, choose the remote for those models. If it is a 1901 8GB, choose the 1901 8GB remote. If your model is not listed, stop and confirm compatibility with the store before ordering. Do not order a remote for a different model as a substitute.
- Insert batteries and test from a distance: Fit fresh batteries in the replacement remote, point it at the frame, and press a basic navigation button. The catalog does not describe a pairing procedure, so no code entry is expected; if nothing happens, check battery orientation and try again closer to the frame. If the frame's own buttons work but the remote does not, recheck the model match before assuming the remote is faulty.
- Keep the model number with the remote: Store the frame's model number or the remote's item code where you can find it later, so a future replacement is a one-step order rather than a search. A note in the frame's manual or battery compartment saves time next time.
