Took this out for a landscape shoot and the 2 to 8 stop range is genuinely handy. The polarizer combo makes the variable adjustment feel smooth rather than finicky, and I could drop the shutter speed without any color shift at the lower stops. Exactly what I needed for running water shots.

I was skeptical about a variable ND filter but the rotating ring to dial in exact stops from 2 to 8 is really smooth, and it nails the shallow depth of field look I wanted for outdoor portraits. The polarizing element also cut the glare on water better than I expected.

This variable ND filter is perfect for video work, giving me smooth exposure adjustments from 2 to 8 stops without any color cast. The polarization layer is a nice bonus, reducing reflections while controlling depth of field.
